Salvation by Devi Nina Bingham

The frenzied world stopped turning,

the blinding sun fell from the sky,

my heart forever wrecked and yearning

that only knew goodbye

did breathe again to behold your darling face,

as if I had never breathed at all,

as if your smile had poured God's thick grace

oe'r the sins of time to make them small.

What has gripped me, holding me fast?

What has caused the stars to shiver?

Has Heavn come down to earth at last,

will my despairing heart be delivered?

When two souls relinquish the past

and cleave to the other,

salvation, at last.
