Beneath My Skin by Devi Nina Bingham

A life ago I was a starving Hindu scholar.

Before that life, a well-fed widow with sons.

In yet another, a French lord who inherited from his father.

In the next, I fought and died in the Mexican Revolution.

Once I was a prehistoric girl living in a cave.

Then a Roaring 20s flapper with a married man.

I have glimpsed my future where happiness is engraved.

Many lives knit together, my soul's master plan.

I carry all of them inside of me

living in Mexico where we lost the war.

From hunger and the cold I have been set free,

from greed and longing I suffer no more.

I know who I am

because I know who I have been.

I love the many "me's"

that live beneath my skin.

Letter From a Departed Friend by Devi Nina Bingham

Where I live, God is everywhere. In the afterlife you have a spirit body, and this body has immense supernatural powers, meaning that you have divine powers of omniscience (all-knowing), omnipresence (cosmic circumnavigation and the ability to be many places at once), and the ability to bend time (slow or speed up). In addition, you can intuit feelings and thoughts. In essence, you become a mini god or goddess, which is why most souls elect to stay unborn, not to reincarnate. Wherever you turn here, there is proof of your divinity. If you were to say, "I do not believe in God," you would be taken to a hospital because something had gone very wrong! There is no question of whether God is or is not; you are a part of it. That would be like saying, "I do not believe that I exist." We live in completeness and wholeness, where questions have satisfactory answers, where there is no confusion or sorrow, and proof of divine presence is everywhere. On earth, God's design can be seen in nature, such as in a tree (you can appreciate its magnificent design). Where I am, not only is the tree pleasing to look at, but it can also communicate. There is a common language, so there are no language barriers, and the natural world speaks clearly.

On earth, scriptures belong to different religions, which is a misunderstanding. All knowledge belongs to all. Here there is no religion, and no artificial boundaries exist. It does not matter what you called yourself on earth; give yourself any silly title you wish, because it is not going to stick. You will not be carrying it here. Any force such as religion or government that tried to separate one from another has been abolished. Equality leaves no room for division. So, I seldom quote anyone. But a scripture jumps to mind when I think about how I would describe Heaven: "...and three things remain: faith, hope, and love, but the greatest of these is love" (the Bible). Above all, these qualities survive the body and are the very atmosphere that we breathe. On earth, love is confined narrowly to parental love, familial love, love for your partner, etc. Beyond this, it is difficult to love, for love is a feeling of affection. I do not mean physical affection but a warm feeling towards them and goodwill. You do not generate affection for a stranger; that would be untoward. However, the more time you spend with the divine, the more you find yourself embodying divine feelings and characteristics. You develop wider feelings of affection for complete strangers, your neighbors, etc. You have waves of affection for all of nature because you are able to see into them. You will not only see their form but will also understand their true nature.

Let me give an example. The author hated snakes; she was terrified of them, which is understandable. She would see a picture of a snake and could not look at it because what she saw was a slithery, slimy, evil creature. However, the truth is that snakes are innocent. They only strike when stepped on, or if they feel threatened. You would do the same if some giant were to step on you! They are only defending themselves. But the author could not trust them because her genetics, passed down from ancient times, told her to fear them. The same is true of spiders and other venomous creatures; your ancient ancestors learned to fear them, and this fear was passed to you genetically. During the writing of this book, she encountered two snakes within a few feet. Normally, she would have jumped in the air and run away screaming. But because she had been immersed in the Other Side's energy of love and acceptance, she did not run away. She had no adverse reaction. Instead, she felt a curiosity and said aloud, "Oh look, a snake!" and she stayed to watch it wriggle away. This was a novel response, one she had never experienced before. Instead of fear, she felt a mild feeling of surprise and a calm interest. This change happened because she has been bathing in waves of acceptance, the atmosphere of heaven. She has also been experiencing feelings of warmth toward strangers, which confused her. This warming up is happening because love is a powerful energy. It is a big heater that melts you. The more you bathe in its warm, soothing waters, the more love you have to give, even to strangers, even to nature. I mention this because love is not only for the narrow category of those who love you. Real love, unselfish love, loves everyone. Where I am, if my parents were to visit me, I would not feel more love for them simply because they were my parents. Why? Though I appreciate that they played their part in my story, I am no longer that woman, so I no longer feel indebted to them. Plus, feelings of love have no boundaries here. I feel the same all-encompassing love for a blade of grass as I do for the souls that once played a part in my life's drama.

Unless and until you come to the point where all are loved by you equally, you have more spiritual work to do. Can unconditional love really be realized on earth? Absolutely. And it has a name: enlightenment, or self-realization, and this superior spiritual condition is what you should be striving for. The Buddha called it "Nirvana," or "non-attachment." When you are not attached, you do not favor one over another. You are in a state of blissful equanimity. You may experience sadness when someone passes, but you recognize it for what it is: that person's passage back to energy, the astral body. The person is not gone, only in a better form and in a better place. To attain this blissful oneness, this unity, takes lifetimes of spiritual practice. However, some are graced; they are given this experience without earning it. The majority, however, will earn it through crushing the ego. And what is the ego except for the persistence of the "I"? "I" is desire, the opposite of non-attachment. So you see, you have more work to do, and love is the only destination. You are love, even now, though many days you will not feel loving. That is ok—still, you are That. You have always been That, and will return to That. Love is your essence. At the end of life you will look back as I have done and see that there are only three things that you could take with you: faith, hope, and love, but the greatest of these is love.

Clear Demands: Keys to Receiving What You Want by Devi Nina Bingham

There are only two methods for obtaining what you desire. Whether it is wealth, love, or fulfillment, only these two paths lead to your goal. The first is familiar to all; it is the way most have been taught since childhood—work hard, persevere, and earn it through relentless effort. It is a path paved with sweat, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication. But there exists a second method—one that may seem fanciful, even unreachable, to those who have never dared to try it. It is a path born from the power of the mind, the heart, and the spirit. It is the art of visualization, of believing so fiercely in your dreams that the universe begins to conspire in your favor. It is a quiet revolution within, a silent promise to yourself that you are worthy of what you seek. This second way is not magic; it is a form of faith—faith in yourself and in the unseen forces that guide us. It requires courage to see beyond the limits imposed by society or circumstance, to imagine a life where your desires are not just fleeting wishes but inevitable realities. Many dismiss this method as naive or impossible, but I tell you, it is the most powerful of all. For what is success if not the manifestation of a dream held firmly in the soul? When you combine the fire of determination with the gentle whisper of belief, you unlock a force greater than mere effort. You align your spirit with the universe, and suddenly, the impossible becomes possible. Remember, the choice is yours. To work tirelessly alone, or to dare to dream and believe—knowing that the universe responds to the strength of your conviction. The second method may seem like a miracle, but it is, in truth, the secret of those who have achieved greatness without limit. It is the art of turning thought into reality, of transforming hope into tangible life. Have you ever met someone who seems to summon what they need effortlessly, as if the universe itself bends to their will? It appears with no struggle, no effort, no pleading—simply there, like a gift freely given. What is their secret? Are they more special, more deserving than you? If you ask them, they will tell you that everything they require is always within reach, that they do not have to toil or beg for it. Like a hungry child stretching out their hands, and suddenly, the food appears—without question, without resistance. Logic suggests that if a method works for one person, it can work for all. So why, then, does the universe seem attentive to those who do not even believe in God, while your heartfelt prayers remain unanswered? Why do they seem to receive their desires with such ease, while your hopes are met with silence? Perhaps the answer lies in the deepest truth: that the universe responds not only to our words or our beliefs, but to the vibrational energy we emit. Those who seem to summon effortlessly are vibrating at a frequency of certainty, of trust, of unwavering faith. They are not merely asking; they are believing—believing so fully that their vibration aligns perfectly with their desire. And what of those who pray with doubt in their hearts? Who wonder if their pleas will ever be heard? The universe is listening, but it responds to the frequency of your inner belief. It is not about deserving or deserving less—it's about whether your energy is aligned with your wish. Remember, the universe does not discriminate; it responds to the signals we send. When your heart is filled with doubt, fear, or hesitation, that is what you attract. When you learn to trust—truly trust—that what you seek is already yours, even before it appears, you become like the child with outstretched hands, and the universe delivers. So, ask yourself: Are you vibrating at the frequency of abundance and faith? Or are you holding back, doubting, fearing? The secret is not in asking louder or working harder, but in believing deeply that the universe is always ready to answer those who trust it wholeheartedly. You see, spiritual laws operate just as universally as the laws of gravity. They are applied to everyone, regardless of who you are or what you believe. For instance, you could conduct a simple experiment—like dropping an apple on your head, just as Sir Isaac Newton did (giggle)—and observe the undeniable influence of gravity. It’s always there, silent but powerful, shaping the physical world around us. Similarly, metaphysical laws work behind the scenes, unseen yet unwavering. They are as stable and unchanging as the law of gravity, but their effects are invisible to the naked eye. You may not realize it, but you are already applying these universal principles every day—your thoughts, your beliefs, and your feelings—they all send out signals into the universe. Let me give you an example. Imagine you are holding a magnet. When you bring it close to metal, it pulls the metal toward it. The magnet doesn’t have to force or struggle; it simply exerts a field of attraction. Your thoughts and feelings act as the magnetic field. When you focus on abundance, love, or success with unwavering faith, you are creating a powerful attraction. The universe responds to the energy you emit, drawing similar energies back to you. Now, just as gravity pulls objects downward, your dominant thoughts and beliefs pull circumstances toward you. If you believe you are deserving and capable, the universe aligns circumstances to support your belief. If doubt and fear dominate your mind, they act like negative charges, repelling what you desire. The key is understanding that these metaphysical laws are constant and reliable. They don’t favor the lucky or the deserving—they favor those who understand and work with them consciously. Just as Newton’s apple fell because of gravity, your desires come to you because of the magnetic power of your thoughts and feelings. So, remember: the universe is always listening, always responding. It’s up to you to learn the language of these invisible laws—and then use them wisely. Let me give you an example. Just like in a busy restaurant, clarity is key. When you place your order, be specific about what you want. Vague requests lead to vague results. If you say, "I want more money," without detailing how or when, the universe may respond in unexpected ways—or not at all. But if you say, "I am grateful now that I have $10,000 coming to me in my bank account within the month," your order becomes clear. Remember, the universe is not a picky chef; it responds to your energy, your belief, and your expectancy. If you are excited and confident, your order speeds up. If you’re doubtful or impatient, it’s like telling the chef, “I don’t really believe this will happen,” which can delay your meal. The universe reacts to your faith, your enthusiasm, your unwavering belief that what you desire is already on its way. And just as a chef might be overworked or behind schedule, sometimes your manifestation takes a little time. That waiting period is called “having faith.” It’s the time when your belief is tested, but it’s also the time where patience and trust become your greatest allies. Think of it as waiting for your favorite dish to be prepared—sometimes, the best things are worth the wait. Sometimes, you might find that you can manifest certain things easily on your own—like cooking a simple meal at home. Other times, you’ll need the help of the universe’s “world-renowned chef” to bring about grander desires. Either way, the essential step is to place your order with certainty and gratitude. So, keep your order clear and your heart open. Feel the joy of receiving it. Tell the universe, “I am ready and excited for my delicious manifestation!” Trust that the cook is working diligently behind the scenes to serve up something truly magical for you. And remember—patience, faith, and gratitude are the secret ingredients to turning your desires into reality.

The Grim Reaper by Devi Nina Bingham

She was the merciful mirror I needed

A mother made of highly polished metal

While most mothers are putting on the kettle

Kali Maa is setting me free

Not allowing me to settle.

She believes I deserve happiness and health

Divine success at lightening speed.

Unafraid to let me bleed,

She crushes my pride, a different kind of wealth.

The Grim Reaper is She.

She eats egos while building self-esteem.

Her reflection is just and picture-perfect.

While it is hard to look at my defects,

She is polishing me so that I gleam.

Death is my architect.

So that new life can take root, flourish and grow

Self-deception must be taken away.

My heart is lighter since death came to stay.

My mother is terrible and wonderful, and I've got a new glow-

because that's how Kali Maa rolls.

How the Mighty Have Fallen by Devi Nina Bingham

How did a love so simple and trusting become a torturous knot of alarm?

How does one swear to protect and cherish, then flee far from harm?

How life beats down the romantic notions that only yesterday knew.

How the dream of forever is a silly notion, like a flower that eternity grew.

How the same dear face that once belonged to a God became blighted,

How your wings fell off and you tumbled from the sky when my passion was unrequited.

How the mighty have fallen to resurrect no more; neither do they weep nor wish.

How did our fiery affair, a cascade of unbridled longing, turn as cold as a fish?

How could a mortal fail to see Ero's arrows laid at his feet?

How is adoration turned aside for trifling pleasures that never taste as sweet?

How, when we are old and feeble, shall we exclaim with anguish: O my heart!

There is no saving thee, for you were handed Heaven, yet you tore it apart.
